Cookeville Junior Woman’s Club Scholarship

The Cookeville Junior Woman’s Club is offering an annual scholarship to a deserving young woman of Putnam County. The scholarship is worth $350. To qualify, you must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, complete this application, answer the essay questions fully, and be a senior in high school planning to attend an educational institution in Tennessee. The deadline for this application is August 1, 2018. The winner will be notified by August 15, 2018. The scholarship check will be mailed directly to the institution the winner will be attending in the fall. Please complete only one application. You will have an opportunity to edit your responses at the end if necessary NOTE: If you will not be enrolled in school during the fall semester when the scholarship funds will be dispensed, you automatically forfeit the scholarship award. Monday, December 18, 2017 Tuesday, December 19, 2017 Wednesday, December 20, 2017 EARLY GRAD SENIOR INFORMATION Thursday, 12/14/17, Early Grad last day of class instruction Friday, 12/15/17, Early Grad Exams ALL OTHER STUDENTS Monday, 12/18/17 8th Period 1:40p.m.-3:00p.m. (We will have a different bell schedule for that day. Students who are exempt from their 8th period exam may leave after 7th period. If they are exempt, but do not have a ride home or are a bus rider then they must report to their 8th period class. Once students report to their 8th period class they must stay until 3:00.) EXEMPTION POLICY 1. Honors, AP, IB students that meet the criteria for exemption may take their exams the last day before Mid-Terms. They will be exempt from attending class during midterms. 2. All other Honors, AP, IB students must take midterms during midterm assigned day/time. 3. All semester courses are covered by exemption policy. Students may be exempt from the 2nd and 4th 9 weeks exams if they meet the criteria below. Note: The exam exemption policy is based upon the previous 18 weeks attendance policy.
