Jay Watson: For just one dollar, come to Room 50 to play games in the computer lab and spend time with friends. The lab will be open for games on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Allison Mahan: Ticket sells for the football homecoming dance will begin Thursday, September 8, during lunch. The dance will be held after the homecoming game on Friday, September 16, from 9:30-11:30. The dress is semi-formal. Homecoming T-shirts will go on sale in the Commons Area and at the CHS Bookstore during lunch starting Thursday, September 8, through Friday, September 16. The cost for this Comfort Color T-shirt is $12. Get yours before they sell out! Karen Trentham: Seniors! Please come to the 3rd floor office to see Mrs. Trentham for your ACT Retake Voucher for the October 22nd test. The registration deadline is September 16th. Darlene Hatcher: Cookeville High School Counselors will host a FASFA Frenzy on October 18th from 6:00 -9:00 pm to assist seniors and their parents to complete the FASFA for the 2017-18 school year. Juniors and Seniors wanting to attend the Upper Cumberland College Fair on October 25th at Hyder Burk must complete an online registeration at www.GoToCollegeFairs.com. Students must print off the registration confirmation, have a parent sign and bring that form to Mrs. Parker. Deadline will be October 17th. Tennessee Governor’s Schools Applications are available on line https://www.tn.gov/education/topic/tdoe-governors-schools Students (10th and 11th grade) will need to go to the website to print off applications and directions. Dawn Nicholson: Summer reading assignments for rising sophomores who are registered for Pre-AP English 10 should be picked up this week in Mrs. Nicholson’s room 239. Completion of summer reading is required to remain in the class once school starts. Haven Paul: If any student has medication in the clinic please have them come by the clinic sometime today or tomorrow for a medication information pickup form. Thank you! Rachel Robinson: Attention all rising IB Juniors! If you are taking any IB classes next school year, you must attend IB Camp on May 24. Molly Risley: Attention New York City lovers! If you are interested in joining a group trip to NYC in May of 2017, please attend the interest meeting THIS THURSDAY (Feb 18th) during the first half of lunch in room 247. Darlene Hatcher: Sophomores and Juniors who applied to Governor’s school: If you receive an email of acceptance or for the waiting list, please let your counselor know. Sam Matson: Boys soccer tryouts will take place on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 – 5:30. Meet in the commons area at 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon. Please bring cleats, indoor or running shoes, shin guards, and a ball. You must have a completed physical in order to try out. The team will be picked at the end of Thursday’s tryout session.
