Awards Day Information

Seniors – The CHS Senior Awards Day will be held on May 3rd at 8:30 am in the CHS auditorium.  Students receiving scholarships as well as those receiving school level awards will be recognized.  If your child is receiving an award a postcard will be mailed the week before the ceremony.  All parents are invited to attend. Counselors – Seniors: If you are receiving scholarships to any university other than TTU please come by the 2nd floor counseling office and let us know. Deadline to turn in the information is April 24th. Counselors – Dustin Rawls from Vol State will be here May 2nd and 3rd to register our graduating seniors for fall classes in the library computer lab. Counselors – Attention seniors: If you have taken Dual Enrollment POLS 1030, VITAL Government or JROTC and have not taken the Civics Exam. Please see Ms. Hatcher during CAV time to complete the exam. This is a graduation requirement. We are trying to finalize this by the end of April. Counselors – The Tickle College of Engineering (TCE) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is pleased to announce our High School Introduction to Engineering Systems for Twelfth Graders (HITES12)­­ summer engineering program for rising twelfth grade students. The program dates are July 7 – 14, 2019. HITES12 is a one-week, residen­tial progra­m for rising high school students. All students are encouraged to apply at engr.utk.edu/diversity/pre-college. · High School Introduction to Engineering Systems for Twelfth Graders (HITES12)­­ Rising twelfth grade students live in a residence hall on campus, engage in hands-on engineering fundamentals activities, attend college life sessions, compete in engineering challenges, and tour all seven of the TCE engineering departments. Throughout the program, students team up to apply what was learned and work on an engineering design project.
