Counselors – Seniors, The Counseling Center has a scholarship for students whose parents may work in the housing industry in some way. This is the Stan and Thelma Plumlee Scholarship.
Counselors – Vol State DE Students, there will be a workshop for eLearn on January 9, 2019. Please plan on attending if you are taking online or CHEC classes. Some did not go this August and you missed out on information that you need to be productive in your class. You will need to register at https://www.volstate.edu/elearnsuccess/workshops for one of the workshops. The 8 am has been set requested for you to attend. Please make sure to schedule a time to attend. Thank you

Counselors – The Noel Cherry Athlete Leadership Scholarship presented by Upper Cumberland Fellowship of Christian Athletes: the website to apply is, http://uppercumberlandfca.org/scholarship. It is due by February 8th.
Counselors – ETSU wanted to let the Cookeville High School seniors know that December 15 is the deadline to be considered for an Academic Performance Scholarship, ranging in value from $2,000 to $5,000 per year. This scholarship is automatically awarded to students who meet GPA and ACT or SAT criteria (GPA and scores must be verified from official documents). We are encouraging students interested in ETSU to submit their fee payment by December 15 to be considered for an Academic Performance Scholarship! To submit an application fee, students can log back into their application at www.etsunow.org/apply or they may pay by credit card over the phone by calling 423-439-4213.
Counselors – If you are a senior who has taken VITAL Government, early graduate,DE POLS or JROTC, Ms. Hatcher will be giving the CIVICS test in the library computer lab on Thursday, Dec. 13th. This is a high school graduation requirement.
Lori Strode – Congratulations to Jonathan Socoy for receiving the Questbridge Scholarship. Jonathan will be attending Columbia University in New York City next Fall. He wishes to express his gratitude to all the teachers who provided recommendations and assisted him with the process. He is grateful to CHS for providing him with classes and knowledge essential to his being matched with Columbia! Way to go, Jonathan!
