Stephanie Hardin: Attention Seniors: New scholarship opportunity– Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors ( UCAR) is offering a $250 scholarship. See your counselor for details. Applications are in the counseling center on second floor.

Hatcher: Attention sophomores and juniors : There will be a meeting about Dual Enrollment for TTU and Vol State on March 8th from 5:00-6:00 p.m in the auditorium. This meeting is for students and their parents. If your intend to take dual enrollment classes 2017-18, parents and students need to attend.

Hatcher: The PCEA Retired Teachers application information is available in the 2nd floor counselor’s office. Due date is March 3oth.

Hatcher: If you are 10th grader planning on Dual Enrollment classes next year, You need to sign up for the April or June ACT on the ACT website. TTU and Vol State will need those scores by June 30th.

Hatcher:  SENIORS- FRIDAY, MARCH 10TH Deadline for Seniors to turn in Diploma Verification to counselors Students who do not turn in the Diploma Verification form to counselors by this deadline will not be eligible to participate in the Celebration of Academic Excellence.


Vicki Russell: Your Change…Your Chance to Cancel Cancer! Key Club will be collecting spare change for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society from February 27th until Spring Break. Please come by the tables in the Commons Area at lunch and place your change in your class container. The class with the highest amount donated will win treats when we return from break!

JROTC: From Monday, February 27 – Thursday, March 9, CHS JROTC will conduct a food Drive in support of the CHS Food Pantry. We urge CHS students, faculty and staff to participate to the fullest extent possible. Please bring your canned and dry food contributions to our pick-up boxes located in the main, commons, and guidance offices placed throughout the building. Unfortunately, we do have less-fortunate students among us; please help out if you can.

Hatcher: Graduating Class of 2017, If you have applied to Vol State, many of you need to submit a copy of your drivers license to complete your admission. You will need to go by Vol State so that they can make a copy. If you are a male that has turned 18, you need to complete you selective service registration.

Lori Strode: Attention Seniors planning to graduate as a TN Scholar! Your completed TN Scholars Service Learning Hours Log is due in to your counselor by March 10. You must have completed the 80 volunteer hours by this date to be eligible to graduate as TN Scholar. If you have questions, contact Ms. Strode in the 2nd Floor Counseling Office.

Shannon Renegar: HOSA shirts will be here Monday, March 6. Please come by Mrs. Renegar’s room to pick yours up.

Molly Risley: BETA CLUB: Meeting this Wednesday (March 8th) during the first half of lunch in the Lecture Hall! You should have 10 credits to be “on track” at this point in the year. Remember, you will need 15 to be in good standing at the end of the year.

Risley: Attention all history buffs: Anyone interested in competing in the state History Bowl and Bee on March 25th should meet in Ms. Risley’s room (227) during the first half of lunch on Friday (March 10th). Top teams in this competition will be invited to participate in the national competition in Washington, D.C. Students can also compete individually in the U.S history written exam and the world geography written exam. More information will be provided at the meeting.

Cavalier Yearbook: Attention Cavaliers: The last day to order yearbooks is March 10. Go to https://shop.smart-pay.com and find your school. We will be ordering only a limited number of extra books. Order today to ensure you receive your 2017 Cavalier Yearbook. We have some cool surprises in the book that you won’t want to miss.

Shannon Renegar: Mrs. Renegar needs to see all HOSA state competitors in her classroom at lunch on Friday, March 10.
